Test Automation Engineer

As a Test Automation Engineer at Brunel International, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our diverse, challenging, and complex systems. You will be an integral part of a Scrum team, serving as the primary point of contact for all testing-related matters. Your commitment to excellence will be evident as you provide guidance on testing strategies and take the lead in improving our software's quality, sprint by sprint.

• Collaborate with the team to define and create acceptance criteria, test cases, and test backlog items.
• Continuously deepen your understanding of the system and its underlying stack to enhance your testing capabilities.
• Utilize your expertise in test automation tools to automate and execute tests effectively.
• Provide guidance to the team in making informed decisions regarding test automation.
• Share your knowledge and experience in test automation best practices with the team and stakeholders.

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Certified in TMAP or ISTQB.
• Minimum of two years of testing experience, preferably in an Agile or DevOps environment.
• Proficiency in various functional and non-functional test types and their application.
• Experience with test automation, including the ability to set up new test cases and maintain existing ones.
• Experience with an object-oriented programming language, particularly C#.
• Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and related tools such as SpecFlow or Cucumber.
• Strong command of both Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Completed an HBO or WO education.
• Preference will be given to candidates currently residing in the Netherlands.

• The salary depends on work experience and education and is between EUR 5000 and EUR 6000 (based on a 40-hour working week);
