Senior Data Engineer

Brunel is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team. We are a global leader in providing innovative solutions and services for our clients. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and architectures to support our data-driven initiatives. You will also be responsible for working with stakeholders to ensure that data is properly collected, stored, and analyzed.

As a Data Engineer at Brunel, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines and architectures to support our data-driven initiatives. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that data is properly collected, stored, and analyzed. You will also work on projects involving AI/ML principles and concepts as well as develop strategies for improving the performance of existing systems. Additionally, you will collaborate with other teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field;
• Knowledge of AI and machine learning principles and concepts;
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Data Engineer with a strong track record with SQL relational databases and preferably TSDB-technology (Influx);
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience with Data Landscapes, preferably Cloud Data Platforms running state of the art tooling for data lakes, data pipelines (such as DBT), data marts, visualisation (PowerBI) and meta data management (ArchiMate);
• Knowledge of business processes and continuous improvement principles;
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum and Lean working methods;
• Excellent problem-solving skills;
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment;
• Strong communication skills;
• Enthusiasm for working on challenging projects.
