Factory enigneer

In this challenging and versatile role, which mainly focuses on medical projects with a repetitive character, the main focus is on 3 aspects:

Support in design optimizationsKnowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes such as milling and casting are required to support design optimizations which are directly related to different manufacturing processes. With a focus on manufacturability, quality and costs suppliers must be guided as well.

Support in manufacturing optimizationsAs part of the PFMEA, Process Flow Diagrams and Process Control Plans are drawn up in order to define the most efficient factory/manufacturing processes for all in house operations and processes. The various options, including the pros and cons are visualized and presented clearly to all stakeholders in order to facilitate the decision making process.

Monitor and support in cost optimizationsManaging the product cost model w.r.t. the cost roadmap strategy: keep a constant overview of ‘should costs’ vs. ‘actual costs’ during project execution.
Salary: € 3.000 - 4.250

• Completed Bachelor degree in Mechanics, Mechatronics, Physics or related;
• Experienced (+5yr) in a mechanical production environment (milling, assembly, welding, cleaning);
• Preferably background in Automotive or Medical production environment;
• Good communication skills verbal and written;
• Analytical and structured;
• Certified Green belt / Lean (Six) sigma;
• Experienced with PFMEA, Control plans and move rate calculations + cost models;
• Willingness to travel International occasionally.
