As a Project/Application Engineer Electronics you are responsible for the technical application of the electrical and electronic sub-assemblies of our systems. This covers motor control unit application and the control algorithm functionality of the system assembly. For this particular position you will also be responsible for support in developing control systems for automotive systems that run in embedded controllers. This includes defining requirements, parameterizing and testing of system performance and analysis of results. You will work inside the R&D department supporting cross functional teams, who carry out projects through the whole product development cycle, from initial concept through to full production at one of our global assembly plants. What are your main tasks and responsibilities as Project/Application Engineer Electronics?

• Possess interpersonal skills to work effectively with coworkers and customers;
• Perform technical risk analysis in agreement with customer for system level product functionality and Hardware / Software specifications;
• Ensures correct functioning of the control algorithm functionality by software parametrizing;
• Ensure all electrical / electronic engineering responsible deliverables are met in compliance with customer & internal company product & project gateways;
• Function as a Technical liaison between our Mechanical, Process and Test engineering teams to ensure smooth integration between mechanical / electrical systems;
• Prove the product robustness and reliability through agreement of Design Validation Plans;
• Proactively support both our customer and supplier quality assurance departments to enable component and product sign off agreements for Electrical & Electronic engineering issues;
• Support design and develop control algorithms;
• Perform analysis to identify performance limitations and optimize system function;
• Support implementing control algorithms in Matlab/Simulink and in real-time systems;
• Design and perform sunroofs tests to verify control system performance and robustness.

• You have a finished degree in Electrical / Automotive/ Software/ Mechatronics Engineering on a BSC or MSC level;
• At least 3 years of work experience. Automotive experience is a plus but not always necessary. Experience in embedded software development and knowledge of ISO 15504 or CMMI quality systems is a preference;
• Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink is a preference;

• You have a visionary approach, and you are willing to focus on innovations in terms of new ideas and work methods. You possess strong analytical and experimental skills and you are able to make independent judgments.
