About this role

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As a Warehouse Coordinator you will work directly with the Maintenance Superintendent, acting as the expert in maintaining organization in all warehouse locations;
  • You will Support BEx (continuous improvement) initiatives through active participation, including identification of efficiency and quality improvements in work processes and problem-solving;
  • You will work to receive material deliveries to site and makes notifications, SAP entries, tags and stocks material as required;
  • You will daily work to ensure all material received matches Purchase Order and meets requirements of plant specifications including those found in the Mechanical Integrity element of Process Safety Management and the Risk Management Program;
  • Manage maintenance of vendor stocking programs;
  • You will primarily be responsible for daily physical inventory audit of the warehouse;
  • You will use SAP software to maintain warehouse inventory with accuracy, consistency and current information;
  • Works with equipment suppliers and plant personnel to resolve manufacturers’ changes in parts design and materials of construction. May require the use of blueprints, specification sheets, bills of material and other technical data;
  • You will need to sources parts from alternate suppliers or fabrication shops to obtain the best value and resolve obsolescence issues.;
  • Serves as a back-up for the Buyer in executing purchase orders, under the direction of Procurement Manager.

About you

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience required in the area of general warehousing preferably with maintenance activities in a chemical plant or refinery environment;
  • Familiar with maintenance management systems for record keeping, parts requirements, and inventory system;

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent;
  • Technical college or equivalent training in the equipment maintenance field or relevant plant experience is a plus;
  • Experience as a maintenance supervisor, planner or craftsman is a plus;
  • Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of plant equipment;
  • Ability to work from blueprints and equipment drawings;
  • Documentation skills. SAP capability preferred. Intermediate computer skills including MS Office.
