About this role

As a Project Engineer you will be reporting to the Project Manager, you will be the expert in providing project management from scope conception through engineering, fabrication, and execution to key Nitrogen projects. You will be part of a dynamic team who manages the ability to evaluate prospective equipment based on process needs and application of best practice solutions

  • You will work to ensure compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations;
  • You will work to be an example to Live and foster IPL Corporate Values;
  • Supports BEx initiatives and ensures participation from all areas of responsibility;
  • Daily you will work to develop equipment designs and specifications for procurement;
  • You will evaluate prospective equipment suppliers and contractors;
  • You will handle management of medium scale projects;
  • You will be contributing to the process & equipment solutions and supplier development efforts;
  • Deal with broad cross-functional technical issues;
  • Understand and adopt all appropriate regulatory & safety needs to programs;
  • You must deliver the goods as promised to achieve financial targets;
  • Ability to participate in HSE studies such as Job Safety Analysis, HAZOPs, Process Hazard Analysis, and Management of Change;

About you


  • BS degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred);
  • Minimum 3-5 years in a related industry with a proven track record in project management, problem-solving, startup and commissioning;
  • Knowledge with the selection of process equipment such as pumps, vessels, and heat exchangers;
  • Familiarity with automated process control in manufacturing operations, including temperature, flow, level, pressure, and pH instrumentation;
  • Microsoft Office proficiency;
  • Develop detailed project cost estimates;
  • Develop, prepare and present project proposals to key stakeholders;
  • Project Management – Project Development, vendor/fabricator management, cost and schedule control;
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor and team player.

  • Based on Experience ($80,000-$95,000 Annually);
