Contract Publication Coordinator

Looking for a junior medical writer
with publication experience. Familiar with MS Project, ICMJE
and GPP guidelines. This would be a project manager role to track all of
the clients publications. This person may assist in some of the PubStrat
activities as well.

About this role

  • Collaborate with Medical
    Writing and Communications team, Scientific Communications Leads,
    Directors, partners, stakeholders, and vendors as appropriate to plan and
    develop desired metrics and displays of these metrics, as well as maintain
    on an ongoing basis;
  • Assist with electronic
    submissions of abstracts, posters, oral presentations, and manuscripts or
    in the quality review of manuscript galley proofs or other documents;
  • Plan and develop desired
    metrics and displays of these metrics for all publications, as well as
    maintain and track on an ongoing basis;
  • Act as subject matter expert
    for metrics/reporting and associated systems. Log, answer
    questions/inquiries and/or triage as appropriate;
  • May assist with electronic
    submissions of abstracts, posters, oral presentations, and manuscripts;
  • May assist in the quality
    review of manuscript galley proofs;
  • May assist with submitting
    documents through document management system;
  • May participate in the
    development and maintenance of document templates, style guides,
    electronic document management and publication system, and SOPs;
  • May perform other duties

About you

  • Strong project management
    skills, expert planning and tracking skills, able to see big picture, well
    organized, focused on results, capable of managing multiple projects,
    excellent time management with respect to priorities and self-management;
  • Proficiency in software
    relevant to project management (eg, Excel, Project and SharePoint);
  • Expert knowledge of relevant
    publication guidance including but not limited to International
    Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICJME), Good Publication Practices
    (GPP), Consort Guidelines, American Medical Association (AMA) Manual of
    Style, Council of Biology Editors, etc.
