About this role

The “Bilingual Human Resource Technician/Absence Partner is responsible for the following duties:

  1. Coordinates and executes the Workday, Absence partner and data processing/validation every payroll cycle in a highly accurate and timely manner, including HR forms review and relevant communication with HRBP’s, CoE, employees, and managers. Scope: Canada (addition of Ontario, STD, LTD, Maternity Leave, Parental Leave, Personal Leave, Sabbatical leave);

  2. Liaising with Financial disability team to coordinate Short-term and Long-term disability dates for submitted claims (primary contact for all claim information to ensure accurate coding in HRIS system);

  3. Calculate leave duration according to seniority and Company policy; distribute documents as appropriate to vendor and employee;

  4. Coordinates, implements Time off/Leaves transactions corrections for assigned audience including follow up with managers to ensure absence entries are timely and accurate;

  5. Coordinates with HRBP and Manager to ensure database is up-to-date using data validation tools & resources while performing ongoing maintenance in collaboration with NA & local team.

About you

As the Human Resource Technician/Absence Partner you must have the following experience.

  • Certificate within Human Resources plus a minimum of one to three years of progressive human resource experience.;
  • Bilingual French/English a requirement;
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal and analytical skills;
  • Proficient in computing (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HRIS systems);
  • Intermediate MS excel is an asset;
  • Workday knowledge is an asset.
