About this role

This supply chain management role is focused on defining category and sourcing strategies. You’ll have real influence on significant purchasing decisions so we are looking for someone with experience. You’ll be used to spotting savings, seeing ways to improve processes and finding efficiencies. So far, so usual.

There’s more to it.

You’ll be involved in strategic decisions based on your own business acumen. Your collaborative style will help inspire and shape the procurement team. You’ll inspire best practice through shared learning and persuasive communication. You’ll have project management responsibilities and will need a close eye on process and compliance risk awareness to meet company requirements.

What sort of person will thrive here?

Someone who uses experience to bring foresight – identifying opportunities and heading off challenges.

Someone who asks the hard questions about how things are being done, and stimulates new ideas and new ways.

Someone who cuts through complexity. Who offers simple solutions, that bring clarity and add value.

Someone keen to see those around them succeed.

If you raise those around you, if you want to see others succeed, then this company will really suit you. Your positive outlook will support a positive working environment here – where ambition is rewarded, and high performance recognized.

You’ll be based in Houston, TX but you won’t be trapped in one office. We’ll want you to travel to other company offices across the US, sharing best practice, creating teams and contributing to a high-performance culture across the entire US organization.

It’s not for everyone.

You’ll need at least 5 years of SCM experience in Oil and Gas or energy-related operations. Plus knowledge of ERP systems, experience developing new processes and solving problems. Tell us about your contract and supplier management successes, let’s hear how you have delivered strategic sourcing solutions, and managed a wide variety of stakeholders.

Do you have what it takes? Send your resume and let’s get you out of that rut you are in.
