About this role

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Participant and organizer of the Stock Network;
  • Overall implementation of inventory reduction initiatives with actual financial results;
  • Review of transverse issues related to stock management and develop resolution mechanism;
  • Monitoring of inventory levels on an ongoing basis;
  • Development of a stock reporting mechanism which supports all of company;
  • Based on the mandate of the stock network, the additional roles and responsibilities are;
  • 1-Fix the inventory issues identified;
  • Review opportunity charters drafted by the opportunity leaders, provide feedback on proposed solution (process improvement, capability development, system upgrades etc.), timelines, KPIs etc. Opportunity charters are living documents and must be reviewed regularly to ensure accuracy and relevance;
  • Supervise opportunity leaders to ensure that the identified opportunities are implemented completely within the timelines defined in the project charters;
  • Be responsible and accountable for driving implementation of opportunities within their respective entities/departments etc., even if they are not part of the opportunity team;
  • Monitor the progress of identified opportunities and any new opportunities identified by the stock network;
  • Opportunity leaders will report the progress of their respective opportunities to the stock network;
  • Work with the opportunity leader to develop a plan to counter the risk/challenges and ensure that the risks are mitigated;
  • Act as a first point of contact between opportunity leaders and the respective entities/departments. Highlight any issues/concerns on behalf of their respective entities/ departments and ensure that the opportunity leaders incorporate it in solution design and implementation;
  • Escalate any conflicts, issues to the sponsor of the stock network and Contracts and Procurement Committee (if required);
  • 2-Control inventory value over time
  • Review stock value once a month based on reports published by the Finance and C&P teams. Identify immediate corrective actions required (if any) to control stock value and ensure their implementation. Track the impact of corrective actions through reports and KPIs;
  • Develop and establish KPIs and reporting mechanism to track the impact of opportunity implementation as well as their impact on stock network;
  • Sign off on the implementation of the opportunities;
  • 3-Optimize inventory value over time
  • Analyze, identify and launch new opportunities for inventory reduction. Propose opportunity leaders and teams for new opportunities;
  • Monitor the implementation of new opportunities. Ensure delivery of financial objectives and results;
  • Train and coach stakeholders within their respective entities on new processes, systems etc. associated with inventory reduction opportunities.

About you

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

C&P competencies

  • Basic or intermediate level in other C&P competencies;
  • Qualification and background
  • Diploma: University Diploma Required;
  • International Experience Required: Yes;
  • Professional experience : 10-15 years in an oil industry materials environment, 3-5 at a supervisory level;
  • Personal Abilities: Advanced Management, Advanced Human Relations, Problem Solving and Planning /organizing / coordinating / controlling
  • Can supervise a team of > 5 people;
  • All around knowledge and understanding of materials used in the O&G industry and of their inspection/certification requirements;
  • Knowledge of drilling and/or Maintenance materials and processes.

Reports To: Finance and Business Services VP/Contracts & Procurement Manager;

Direct subordinate positions: Project Management Officer;
