About this role


  • The Senior Construction Engineer will hold a commensurate amount of responsibility to coordinate the readiness of the DBN PWM project for construction campaigns;
  • To drive an accident free environment, maintaining a strong safety culture; compliance with HSE rules;
  • To be a key Leader for FEED & EPCIC Contractors multi-discipline coordination to ensure onshore and offshore construction activities. To support Brownfield activities definition and sequence for shutdown and offshore activities duration minimization. To ensure Simops mitigations implementation;
  • To ensure EPCIC deliver fabricated items with zero carry over works to the offshore construction team;
  • To define all tie-ins and shutdown activities to minimize production loses;
  • To deliver integrated offshore items with Mechanical and Pre-commissioning fully completed to the Commissioning team.


  • Responsible for preparation and running the offshore construction activities to the works related to DBN PWM, including:


  • To ensure compliance with HSE (occupational and process) legislation, Company standards and procedures as they apply to project management and project engineering, to ensure employee safety and legislative compliance;
  • To ensure compliance with Company Management System and applicable International Standards;
  • To coordinate with SIMOPS team and to ensure associated mitigations implementation;
  • To insure the good level of competency for COMPANY Supervision Team offshore;
  • Scope and development;
  • To ensure FEED and EPCIC contractors preparation of required procedures – method statement – schedule – resources plan.. in timely and quality manner to prepare and coordinate the offshore construction activities;
  • To attend to all the DBN PWM project meetings to provide construction inputs and support to Brownfield team;
  • To check from FEED the constructability aspects, as well as the compliance to all the technical requirements by EPCIC Contractor to ensure the projects are sufficiently prepared and matured to go for site execution;
  • To provide technical inputs for early works and shutdown definition / preparation to obtain a consistent dossier (documents, materials, procured and fabricated items, installation sequence, pre-com/com dossiers …);
  • To interface and to be key contact point with COMPANY FOPS teams;
  • To technically interface for all SIMOPS aspects of the DBN PWM project;
  • To technically interface for all Marine aspects and specific transportation and load out aspects;
  • To mobilize the COMPANY Supervision Team as required for the offshore construction and pre-commissioning activities offshore;
  • To organize / coordinate the personnel transportation and bedding (on platform, accommodation vessel, …) as required for the offshore construction and pre-commissioning activities offshore in liaison with Planning and IOP Teams;
  • To follow and coordinate EPCIC Contractor material delivery offshore – and backload.

Project Management:

  • To organize and to supervise offshore site surveys of FEED and EPCIC Contractors;
  • To contribute to the Project Execution strategy and Project Execution Plan related to the offshore construction activities;
  • To develop and to contribute to redaction of Particular Project Specification for the performance of the DBN PWM Project;
  • To develop construction KPI’s for DBN PWM project;
  • To define and ensure submission of weekly report by EPCIC Contractor;
  • To track EPCIC Contractor Engineering and procurement deliveries, in close relation with the Brownfield team;
  • To interface with FOPS teams in advance to the mobilization of E&C Construction Team, to anticipate the needs to fill FOPS’ expectations as required (i.e.: JSA’s, PTW, material management…);
  • To coordinate with FOPS teams all along the progression of the works offshore;
  • To follow-up and report the progress of the works offshore, with analysis of the performances, on daily basis;
  • To do Management of Change in scope, organization, schedule, … if required and assessment of resulting cost and schedule impact, related to Construction activities;
  • To deliver the close out dossier at the end of the project, as well as to participate to REX and Lessons learned for the Company.

Schedule Development:

  • To ensure inputs related to SIMOPS – early preparation works – brownfield preparation and shutdown works;
  • To ensure interface management with other COMPANY CONTRACTORS;
  • To organize the offshore works in accordance with prioritization agreed with the Brownfield team, based on emergency, safety, production and future development critical needs.

Risk Management:

  • To perform risk analysis as required for the good performance of the works;
  • To participate to HAZID’s, Risk Assessments and JSA’s when required;
  • Assurance and Governance;
  • To co-ordinate with QA leader for all quality matters, including as well the management of quality audits as needed for a continuous control of Contractors/Subcontractors;
  • To provide the red mark-ups from Contractors/Subcontractors inputs from Offshore Construction Team, to the Construction Leader, for as-built dossiers;
  • To follow Pre-commissioning dossier preparation and readiness;
  • Procurement Management;
  • To follow EPCIC contracts/PO’s related to offshore construction activities;
  • Resource Management;
  • To ensure that the resources and organization from EPCIC Contractor are adequate with regards to the workload;
  • To review Contractor’s progress reports related to onshore mobilization (materials, equipment/tools, personnel, …) as well as offshore, highlighting critical problems, drifts and dysfunctions if any.


  • To carry out any other duties or tasks that may be assigned by Brownfield team for DBN PWM project.

About you


  • Management methods;
  • Technical background with a minimum of 15 year experience in construction of O&G installations;
  • Experience in offshore construction activities under SIMOPS and Brownfield conditions;
  • Extensive knowledge of industry best practice in Project Management;
  • Fluent in English.
