About this role

As the Quality Coordinator you will be providing direct leadership, support and guidance for Quality Assurance and Quality Control Inspection activities in accordance with project requirements. You’ll be adding practical, value-adding quality control advice and services to the company. In this role you will be facilitating a consistent and simplistic approach to ensure quality control and to reduce risk to the project. You will be ensuring compliance to client and contractors existing quality standards, Procedures and guidelines throughout project life cycle.

In this position you will communicate with different levels both outside and within the company throughout the project life. You’ll be coordinating inspections with contractors and suppliers and shall liaise with Client and Regulatory authorities to officiate and ensure final acceptance and compliance to project specification requirements.


  • Reviewing project specific quality control and inspection procedures, fabrication methods, processes and techniques to ensure a consistent and comprehensive approach to required inspection activities.
  • Verifying the establishment and proper implementation of adequate control processes within the Shop and Yard activities, as stipulated in the Project Quality Plan and Project Inspection and Test Plans (ITP’s).
  • Interviewing and evaluating QC personnel and subcontracted inspection personnel for competency and compliance to project requirements.
  • Evaluating quality/test methods, processes and materials to determine their compliance with ITP’s (Inspection Test Plans).
  • Actively monitors work progress such that risks and problem areas are immediately identified; reported and remedial actions are defined and implemented by Contractor.
  • Bringing forward suggestions for improvements in time saving and cost reductions within their areas of responsibility.
  • Accumulating KPI data, performance metrics and provides recommendations to the Project Quality Manager on past and current Quality Control activities.

About you


  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field;
  • 3+ years of experience in related field.
