About this role

There’s three main activities in this role: scheduling, cost engineering and tracking it all through reporting.

You’ll be developing baseline schedules with all project stakeholders, suppliers and contractors, defining the work breakdown structure for each project and appropriate measures of progress. You’ll coordinate with all parties to update the master project schedule, analyze critical paths, update S-curves, schedule variances, progress trends and allocate resources. You’ll be in charge of analyzing subcontractor delay claims, and mitigation and recovery plans.

You’ll be responsible for monitoring and controlling total project expenditure, defining cash flow forecasts and tracking all additional charges or claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors. You’ll coordinate with Business Controls for cost reconciliations, and manage project contingencies.

And then all this information needs to reported: monthly cost/schedule actuals, risks/contingencies, plus developing cost management and benchmarking tools for continuous improvement, particularly around estimating for future projects.

About you

You’ll be a confident communicator, presenting to small and large groups; with a detailed understanding of the numbers and what they mean for the project. You track delays, predict overspends and make recommendations before problems loom large. Your analytical skills can identify these, and your experience and creative thinking gives you the edge for problem solving in ongoing situations.

Must haves:-

  • At least 7-10 years of scheduling or project control experience in petrochemicals, oil and gas, mining, infrastructure or nuclear industry
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field

Specific Requirements for this role:-

  • Expert in Primavera P6 plus very good knowledge of PRISM
