About this role

  • Review and analysis of current well intervention procedures and worksite practices both onshore and offshore;
  • Coordinate implementation of observed and existing Intervention Improvement plans;
  • Feedback and report findings to drilling and completions management;
  • Monitor, coach and provide guidance to junior engineers, Well Services Supervisors and Well Site Mangers during the planning and implementation of an upcoming Well workover operations with a Hydraulic Workover (HWO) unit on platform;
  • Coordinates offshore operations and liaise directly with onshore team and facility management (Superintendent, OIM);
  • Ensures that WSS objectives are set and fully detailed in the procedures for the intervention of each well;
  • Ensure that well intervention designs and construction procedures are in accordance with applicable standards and legislative requirements;
  • Member of a Consulting team supporting an E&P Company in the management, intervention, and maintenance of offshore platform wells;
  • Provides technical senior support to the Team leader during the planning and execution phases of wells;
  • Effectively communicating with E&P Company representatives and specialised service providers ensuring the planning and execution of well interventions is performed safely, successfully, and within budget;
  • Review and analysis of Platform well status, and determining action plans for addressing well servicing issues;
  • Utilisation of a formal Assurance Process for preparation of detailed well intervention programs incorporating all services and providers, including detailed operational steps, processes, procedures, well barriers management, risk analysis and management, Quality requirements, HSE requirements, timelines, and budgets;
  • Co-ordination and management of the application and deployment of products and services from third party service providers;
  • Co-ordination with Platform operations, HSE, Drilling, Logistics, Maintenance, departments for planning and execution of well interventions;
  • On site management and supervision of all activities associated with well interventions;
  • Troubleshooting downhole equipment issues, and recommending and implementing solutions for improved performance and reliability;
  • Preparation of end of well intervention reports, including analysis and reporting of contractors performance against contracted KPI’s, HSE statistics, Non Productive Time, Well Acceptance data, Lessons Learned, Continuous Improvement initiatives, and actual performance versus budget.

About you

  • Degree in Engineering;
  • 20 years’ experience;
  • Certification: IWFC Level 4 Well Intervention;
  • Offshore Travel Certification: BOSIET/FOET, OGUK Medical, MSIC, CSTP Card;
  • Computer Knowledge: High level of competency with MS Office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint);
  • Ability to work in an office and offshore environment as a member of specialised multidisciplinary teams;
  • Well Interventions (Slickline and E-Line);
  • Good understanding of well barrier philosophy and standards;
  • Effective communication skills;
  • Field experience supervising teams of specialised oilfield services personnel.
