Principal Marine EIA Specialist – UK

United Kingdom - Oil, Gas & Mining - Oil & Gas - Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality - Academic Bachelor

Looking to expand your professional horizons?

Sometimes it’s good to specialise, you become the expert in a subject and people listen to what you have to say.

Occasionally though, you might find yourself doing the same thing over & over and wondering where else you could apply what you know.

One of the UK’s best environmental consultancies has a slight problem.

On a technical basis they have a great team with lots of knowledge when it comes to delivering on a project. Recently though, the focus has been on international work and now means that for the UK they’re missing that person who can provide the leadership needed to knit together the technical with the commercial and guide it through a planning process.

About this role

What does this mean for you? How does working on a wider range of projects, both domestically and internationally sound? Or the freedom to pursue areas that you find interesting but might not have a chance to in your current business?

People tend to work for this business for a long time, and everyone I’ve ever met who works there speaks highly about the way they’re looked after. Flexible working? No problem. Training & Development? Whatever you need.

About you

For a role like this you’ll need to bring some very specific knowledge when it comes to the UK’s regulatory frameworks, and know your way around a DCO like the back of your hand.

Obviously with this being a Marine role, a degree or Masters in a marine science related subject will be highly regarded, but it’s by no means a deal breaker.

Outside of the academics, you’ll have excellent soft skills when it comes to stakeholder engagement.

What we offer

The
salary on offer is dependent on your level of experience, up to around £60k per
annum.

Benefits include

• Contributory pension scheme

• A flexible program with the
option to buy additional holidays, childcare vouchers and private health care

• Regular training and
development.
