About this role

ACCOUNTABILITES

  • Ensure that the assigned projects tasks are well managed as per the statement of requirement, COMPANY specifications and contractual requirements;
  • Ensure that all the interfaces with the design team, other entities including CPD/E&C are correctly managed;
  • Ensure that the projects are executed in accordance with the organization’s safety regulations, with quality conformance and within schedule and budget;
  • Coordinate the engineering activities of Integration Project engineering group in agreement with Engineering Manager and Integration Manager all along the Contract execution phase;
  • Responsible for engineering consistency between Project packages;
  • Ensure efficient communication with all other COMPANY engineering and functional team members.

ACTIVITIES

  • Promote & comply in all activities with applicable safety instructions and other COMPANY HSE procedures;
  • Carry out work in compliance with COMPANY values and policies, relevant laws and regulations, agreed COMPANY priorities and objectives, COMPANY standards and procedures and good industry practices;
  • Follow-up of pre-FEED and FEED engineering development activities progress related to PVV engineering systems for the P.O.R. project by the contractors, the LLI and packages vendors (as applicable) for the Major Projects. The scope of activities will mainly concern brownfield activities on existing A platform. The activities include the review and comment of engineering and vendor (if applicable) documentation to ensure compliance with design dossier, SOR, Company specifications, Corporate standard and HSEQ regulation, international codes, BV and SOLAS applicable rules;
  • Supervise the engineering contractors in charge of carrying out pre-FEED, FEED and detailed design engineering, including PDMS and layout, pressure vessels development, procurement packages, piping support arrangements, maintenance handling issues, equipment installation, sea-fastening, etc.. in compliance with project specifications and procedures, COMPANY specifications, discipline requirements and international codes, with respect of cost, schedule and required level of quality and safety applicable to the projects;
  • Supervise and promote cost-saving and weight saving solutions in the design;
  • Ensure a delivery of engineering dossier in due time to secure project execution schedule;
  • Check the quality of the engineering documents prepared by the Contractor(s) and his subcontractors & vendors, provide required comments in due time, approve via PRODOM the documentation promptly, in accordance with contract procedures and requirements;
  • Check the incorporation of COMPANY comments by the Contractor(s) and his subcontractors / vendors in subsequent submissions;
  • Ensure close coordination with other disciplines on all engineering, constructability and operational matters during detailed design development, typically 3D model development, layout reviews, etc…;
  • Treat all information obtained during course of the work with confidentiality;
  • Keep a pro-active attitude in front of future interlocutors (Contractors, Vendors, etc.);
  • Review PVV design data of the existing facilities for the P.O.R. project;
  • Assist to prepare detailed scope of work and proposal MDR for piping pressure vessel (PVV) discipline covering for FEED and EPC, all in line with Pre-FEED and Statement of Requirements;
  • Manage the technical interfaces with other disciplines for the preparation of piping discipline scope of work;
  • Review and suggest to management possible design solutions and strategy related to brownfield tie-ins scope;
  • Identify potential deviations from the COMPANY referential and report these to the Engineering Manager for final decision on whether or not to implement;
  • Ensure that relevant feedback from previous similar projects are considered in the design performance;
  • Participate in weekly and monthly meetings with Contractors, and in specific ad hoc meetings as required by management;
  • Provide technical answers to technical queries and provide support in deviations requests related to PVV issues;
  • Request assistance from shareholder specialists (remote head office), when required;
  • Participate in the HAZID/ HAZOP/ Project reviews sessions with COMPANY, Contractors and Vendors teams and provide technical answers and clarifications;
  • Participate in inspections at site/vendor premises, as required;
  • Review qualification procedures and follow any qualification tests;
  • Liaise with 3rd party to obtain the necessary approvals, licenses or consents where required;
  • Ensure detailed progress reporting to project management;
  • Assist project management team to reply to various correspondence by providing technical support;
  • Carry out any other duties or tasks that may be assigned by hierarchical superiors.

About you

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Qualification: bachelor degree, or equivalent, in mechanical engineering;
  • Graduate engineer with a good level of technical understanding of all relevant technical disciplines, with at least 10 years’ experience of PVV engineering on onshore/offshore oil & gas project;
  • Strong knowledge in piping components, valves, pressure vessels, PDMS, welding, metallurgy, piping codes (ASME, API, ASTM);
  • Offshore experience is preferred;
  • Strong knowledge of SIMOPS and brownfield projects;
  • Available for mission world-wide;
  • Familiar with Company general specifications is a plus;
  • Language: fluent English;
  • Computer literate;
  • Strong leader ship skills and good communication skills;
  • Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.

Contract Duration: 2 Years Contract with possible extension

Start Date: January 2019
