About this role

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Co-ordinate, control and validate all project MIEC activities in collaboration with MIE Contractor, COMPANY Maintenance Department and MIEC Lead;
  • Ensure compliance of MIEC activities with COMPANY specifications/standards and local legislation;
  • Review proposed handling/lifting devices during construction and commissioning phases;
  • Participate in technical reviews regarding maintainability & inspectability of installations during detailed engineering;
  • Throughout the project, control and ensure follow-up of maintenance engineering activities in line with Maintenance & Inspection Engineering contract (MIEC);
  • Review and validate the selection, supply chain and inspection of all operating spares, held at company and/or contractor warehouses at start up and the delivery and inspection of specific tools and capital spare parts;
  • Provide assistance to the MIE Contractor Work Package Leaders with regards to maintenance issues;
  • Provide technical support and assistance during and after the startup of the new facilities for all MIEC related issues ;
  • Review technical drawings as required and provide feedback – PRODOM etc;
  • Maintain regular communication with COMPANY project management team, EPIC engineering team and yard/construction sites;
  • Manage designated contractors ensuring compliance with COMPANY HSE & Maintenance procedures and policies

ACTIVITIES

  • HSEQ responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with COMPANY Incident Free culture, Health and Safety and environment policy;
  • Support and enforce the project HSEQ management system (charters, objectives, directives, plans, procedures and specifications etc.);
  • Promotes HSEQ awareness of workforce at all levels through proactive attitude - site tour management at CTR yard, HSEQ meetings ensuring risks are identified, actions assigned and managed within project team and contractors;
  • Monitor work activities, especially areas where unsafe acts could occur and ensure that risks have been properly identified and assessed prior to work execution (Job Safety Analysis)
  • Ensure that potential failures, weaknesses and hazards are immediately reported

Technical Maintenance responsibilities:

  • Review and validate the quality of technical description for all spare parts, Commissioning/start up, Capital and operational ensuring purchase requisition specification and relevant certification are correct;
  • Provide technical clarification for the procurement of spare parts;
  • Review documentation both EPCIC and project;
  • Review and validate MIEC activities ensuring that schedule meets EPCIC milestones and readiness for start-up with emphasis on operating and capital spare part selection process and procurement, including inspection, shipment, delivery and storage;
  • Review the standardisation of project design evaluating this against OPEX costs;
  • Overall management of Baseline inspection activities ensuring clear communication and coordination between EPCIC contractor, MIE contractor and company;
  • Coordinate and validate the quality and compliance of documents required for the completion of maintenance deliverables in the Electronic Documentation System (EDMS);
  • Coordinate the preparation and implementation of the Materials Management System;
  • Ensure that maintainability aspects, handling requirements and maintenance access are properly addressed during detailed engineering, construction and commissioning phases including participation to 3D modelling reviews;
  • Monitor the progress measurement figures established by MIE contractor;
  • Participation in criticality reviews, RCM studies or equivalent to ensure maintenance requirements are properly addressed;
  • Attend FAT/SAT as required by project/company;
  • Review and validate the maintenance dossiers prepared by MIEC;
  • Provide assistance to the MIE Contractor Work Package Leaders to ensure compliance with project specifications

Project responsibilities:

  • Manage the performance of all indirect or contract personnel working on maintenance activities;
  • Ensure that appropriate resourcing is in place for all maintenance activities;
  • Manage contracts as directed by MIEC Leader;
  • Provide support to project start-up;
  • Provide support as required to commissioning activities;
  • Identify training requirements regarding installed equipment and where required arrange training with vendors for COMPANY personnel;
  • Identify new specifice maintenance contracts to be used by operations for new equipment, write scope of work (SOW) and prepare for call for tender (CFT);
  • Facilitate effcient communication/information flow with MIEC Lead, project team, stakeholders and COMPANY maintenance department;
  • Deputise for MIEC Leader as required;
  • Ad-hoc activities as required by line manager;
  • All staff must be willing to participate in Crisis Response Training and to assist during Emergency Response Situations if required;
  • To ensure proper equipment preservation once installed into the plant especially during construction works and coactivity;
  • Participate to PMI inspection on CRA material at receiving and erection stages;
  • To participate in the review of material test certificates and vendors data books for further inclusion into Project Final Documentation;
  • Participate in the weekly meeting and in the issuance of weekly report and KPIs;
  • In coordination with Head Projects QA/QC, participate in Contractor investigations of significant Quality failures. Ensure proper root cause analysis of Contractor Quality failures is undertaken, and conclusions are reached and corrective actions undertaken.

About you

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering;
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in the petrochemical, refining, Oil & Gas exploration or similar;
  • industry in Maintenance Engineering role, Inspection Engineering experience being a plus;
  • Demonstrable experience of Risk Based Maintenance (RBM) preferably in the petrochemical, refining, Oil & Gas exploration or similar industry;
  • Experience with CMIMS;
  • Detailed knowledge of legislation/regulations relevant to inspection discipline;
  • Familiar with COMPANY standards, PRODOM and relevant codes and standards;
  • Fluent in English (listening, writing and speaking) and its technical vocabulary;
  • Computer literate;
  • Good communication and analytical skills;
  • Ability to work in a complex and multicultural environment;
  • Available for missions as necessitated by project;
  • Medically fit to travel to offshore oil & gas platform;
  • H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET certification.
