About this role

Responsibilities

The Marine Project Engineer will assist the Contract Holder in delivering a new jetty extension (Terminal A Extension) to the client by the end of Q1 2021. Accountabilities will include:

  • Responsible for technical interface with Contractor, Client, and Designer toresolve technical issues, provide clarifications, manage TQ/TDs and
    design changes.
  • Work with Engineering and Construction Managers to optimizeconstruction processes.
  • Streamline approvals between Design Engineer and ConstructionContractor.
  • Engage with project controls to evaluate cost and schedule progressforecast vs actuals, with regular input to project risk register.
  • Ensure alignment between Construction, Engineering, and Quality todeliver Extension as per design and specifications.
  • Evaluate contractual variations (change orders) and manage commercialimpacts of technical issues.
  • Review contractor method statements, MOC’s, technical memo’s and fieldimplementation.

About you

Requirements

  • Professional Engineer with minimum 5 years' experience in marine facilityconstruction.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with complex interfacesacross various stakeholders.
  • Excellent communications and inter-personal / leadership skills areessential.
  • Proven track record of delivering results in challenging projectenvironments.
  • Team player, acting as a champion to break new grounds and self-motivated
