About this role

Most of your time will be spent in Rome working on a 12 month contract with the option for renewal.

You will be responsible ensuring the preparation, update, analysis and optimisation of work schedules for a massive Petrochemical project in Saudi Arabia.

Day to day, your work can vary massively. You will be constantly monitoring project milestones, identifying potential delays and providing mitigating actions.

The Contractor’s schedules need reviewing, challenging and optimising prior to approval by the project manager, and you will be in charge of this.

Projects like these are huge, but you won’t be alone.

You’ll work alongside a second Planning Engineer to ensure the seamless integration of a Mixed Feed Cracking (MFC) unit into the overall project.

About you

You’ll be boosted by over 10 years of experience working as a Planning Engineer on a similar Petrochemical project, preferably for a global oil and gas operator.

Degree wise there is some flexibility, but you’ll likely hold a degree in Project Management or an Engineering related field.

To assist you with your project management/planning, you will be skilled with software such as Primavera P6 and Primavera Risk Analysis.

You will also be fluent in English, both spoken and written. With the job location being in Italy and frequent business trips to the Middle east- some level of Italian or Arabic language skills would be a big bonus. French would also be beneficial, but don’t worry if not- we still want to hear from you.
