About this role

This role is ideal for you if you have experience of delivering high levels of IT customer service, either on an IT Helpdesk managing resolution of high call volumes, or through solving problems for end users through integrating systems.

You’ll be providing high level customer service during this project delivering on these specific goals: an upgrade to Windows 10, a hardware refresh, and an AV upgrade. Your expertise in Microsoft Office applications and Windows operating systems will be essential in this role, as you’ll be handling escalations, questions and triaging issues as they arise. Your impact in this project will be considerable, as you will also be providing guidance and support to Level 1 team members on the Service Desk, in addition to handling your own calls.

Your main responsibility will be to log and track incoming calls and email tickets as well as providing effective customer support. You’ll be generating and maintaining incident reports, activity logs and shift hand-offs. Day-to-day, you’ll be overseeing and supporting all Level 1 and 2 issues related to Windows 10 applications and peripherals (performing pc backups of old data, restoration using USMT and restoring user settings by configuring networked printers, mapped drives etc).

You and the team will work through all available resources before escalating calls and issues to Level 3 support, in order to make the Service Desk run as efficiently as possible. You will coordinate as needed with 3rd party vendors, ISP, Cloud Services and other personnel to get to the job to completion.

Other Duties

  • Effectively communicate technical instructions to non-technical end users
  • Use critical thinking and analytical skills to resolve tickets
  • Document new or updated client information
  • Identify trends and recurring issues and alert team leads

There may be occasional overtime, with some off-hours and weekend work required. This role additionally requires occasional travel.

About you


  • Minimum 5 years of experience within relevant IT fields
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Windows operating systems
  • General understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy and basic network concepts is highly desirable
