About this role

As an IT Analyst for the company’s Innovation Unit, based in Downtown Houston, you will be the expert focused on installation of technologies, along with a team of other solution architects. Your purpose will be to provide fast turnaround of infrastructure, plus lightweight consulting services, required for the testing and trials of innovation technologies in a non-production environment.

You’ll bring your understanding of technical concepts and analytical skills to understand and influence business and technical audiences. You’ll be the subject matter expert for cloud and on-prem services, as well as data and network integration, information management and application architecture.

Key duties:

  • Analyzing multiple requests for installation and set-up of technologies in the lab unit
  • Creating and communicating costs and time estimates for set up and install (with help from other lab resources)
  • Fulfillment and delivery of the non-production environment for testing and application (PoC, Field Trials etc.) of technologies
  • Providing support for the technology lifecycle in the lab, that meets or exceeds the lab requirements for the technology
  • Decommissioning and release of resources

As you proceed, you’ll be writing your own gap assessments, providing written documents for key contacts in architecture, IRM, Cybersecurity, and other related departments.

About you

Required:

  • 10 years or more of experience in application and information architecture, preferably in the context of cloud-based services
  • Demonstrated ability to assess multiple technologies

A Masters qualification in administration, development and deployment of Azure cloud services is highly desirable for this role.

You’ll be working within a team of experienced solution architects, in a collaborative culture, that encourages the pursuit of goals and development of new skills.
