About this role

As an HR Generalist you will be supporting university recruiting coordinators in the hiring process. You’ll be assisting in a variety of HR functional areas which may include new hire processing, HR policies and general employment related questions and concerns.

You will do well in this role if you enjoy logistics and recruiting, and have real attention to detail. Particularly, if are interested in the personal development of the organization’s people.

There is travel logistics aspect to your role. You’ll be co-coordinating and managing high-volume, onsite interview travel logistics. Deadlines will be tight for all candidates, so efficiency is key. You will be partnering with travel services to ensure that all hotels, car service and flights are correct. If any issues were to arise, you will utilize your excellent problem-solving skills to fix any troubles.


  • Assisting with candidate notification process: sending email notifications to candidates on a regular basis to advise them of their status, maintaining a spreadsheet to track notifications sent
  • Assisting recruiting teams with candidate tracking and notifications in applicant tracking system
  • Assisting with coordination of university and conference events
  • Validating all receipts and submit travel expense reimbursements for payment processing

About you


  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years customer service related experience

Your Skills:

  • Able to analyse and present information in such a way that it is understood by everyone within the organisation from the Chairman to the cleaning staff
  • Extremely organized and methodical in your approach to problem solving
  • Familiarity with a variety of HR areas such as benefits administration, new hire orientation/onboarding, recruiting, HR policies and compliance, and payroll
