We are currently seeking an experienced Emergency Response Coordinator to provide support to the subsea, pipelines and FPSO facilities throughout all phases of a major Oil and Gas project on behalf of our Client.

About this role

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Develop and update as required the suite of Emergency Response plans for various locations and activities associated with the Project;
  • Provide input into the ER design for the FPSO facility, including review and critique of contractor design specifications and vendor selection.;
  • Lead the planning and review of Contractors ER documentation;
  • Support execution of Project HSE Team activities as required, e.g. Audits, HAZIDs, ENVID’s etc;
  • Verify that the Project is aligned with the Australian Business Unit's Crisis Management and ER philosophies and requirements;
  • Assure that Project oil spill and response capabilities are in place and maintained.

About you

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Science or relevant related work experience;
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in major offshore oil/gas projects in a Crisis Management or Emergency Response role;
  • Prior experience with the Incident Command System (ICS) or AIIMS equivalent;
  • Strong technical skills in ER processes and equipment;
  • Ability and proven previous training in ER processes is essential;
  • Ability to train Project Incident Management Teams in Emergency Management processes;
  • Able to plan, organize and conduct multiple projects and functions in a dynamic work environment;
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • A high degree of cultural awareness and understanding for international locations;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain and develop positive relations with internal stakeholders, including those in different geographical locations;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present complex ER and Security issues in a clear and concise manner.
