EHS Lead Consultant

About this role

The purpose of this contract is to engage a EHS Lead Consultant to provide EHS data analysis and performance reporting for Client’s Malaysia EHS, in its effort to enable and sustain top quartile EHS performance

The hours of work will be as per the standard hours of work at the relevant work location: Client’s KL office, CLIENT’S Contractor’s fabrication sites and Offshore Client’s Field. The selected EHS support personnel shall be mobile and located as per COMPANY’s instruction.

Responsibilities of the position include:• Developing and maintaining EHS related KPI’s (both leading and lagging) in support of delivery excellence;
• Developing and maintaining Incident Reporting and Investigation KPI’s, including the Line management of incident reporting and investigation status, action follow up and close-out, etc;• Ensure initial notifications are correctly distributed to internal and external stakeholders;
• Issue “Lesson Learnt” reports from internal and external sources and maintain record of distribution;• Preparation and presentation of reporting material for management reporting and stakeholder engagements;
• Providing support and housekeeping for Client’s Malaysia’s Synergi database;• Preparation, maintenance and distribution of the incident management team weekly roster;
• Maintaining the operational readiness of the Client’s’ Malaysia incident management team center;• To provide EHS advice on incident classification and assist in incident investigations, including near misses, property damage, injuries, occupational illness and spills/loss of containment;
• Conduct analysis of leadership site visits;• Preparation and coordination of EHS steering committee materials;
• Providing analysis and support for the EHS plans.

About you

Requirements for the position are as follows:• At least 15 years’ experience in EHS in the oil and gas industry, which includes EHS systems, processes, standards and procedures, data analysis, performance management, emergency response, management reporting, business continuity, training and incident investigation.

• At least a Bachelor’s degree;• Possess at least a certification from NEBOSH;
• Medical and Sea survival pre-requisites for working Offshore;• Ability to develop Company EHS specifications and standards;
• Ability to work in a challenging work environment within a hectic group;• Ability to work with multi-discipline team across disciplines and varied interest groups;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills;• Ability to write reports and produce Incident Report, EHS Presentation, etc.;
• Good skills in Microsoft Office application;• Good command of Malays (Bahasa Malaysia) & English Language and effective communicator in Malay / English.
