About this role

The Cost Controller will be tracking, monitoring, analyzing and forecasting every aspect of the project cost in order to compare the forecast vs budget during different stages of the project.

You’ll be setting up the project structure, forecast templates and preparing the monthly cost report in order to support decisions by the Project Team. You’ll report project cashflows and outcomes to department/project manager for taking appropriate decisions to prevent budget overrun at every stage.

You’ll also be monitoring and updating currency hedges in order to identify – and eliminate – exchange risks.

In this key role for project controls, you’ll be providing feedback to the bidding team based on the actual execution of the project in order to incorporate changes into future project proposals.

Other Responsibilities

  • Review, validate and approve vendor/sub‐contractor invoices
  • Review Purchase Orders and Sub Contract agreements to ensure budget alignment

And there’s an element of training in this role too. You will be supporting and mentoring your colleagues with relation to various cost control activities. You’ll work across teams with various stakeholders, using your experience to set priorities and resolve conflicts.

About you

Your Education & Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Accounting, Business, Management, and/or any other relevant
    field of studies
  • Between 3 and 7 years of experience in a project related field in a similar environment
  • Familiarity with FPSO projects including some technical knowledge is highly desirable

This role functions across a range of project locations, so an understanding of at least one or more additional languages is a definite advantage.
