About this role

The position will support the Products Supply and Trading (PSAT) organization. PSAT manages global supply, trading and logistics for a wide range of products, including feedstocks, fuels, and refined products like gasoline, naphtha, diesel, jet fuel, heavy fuels, biofuels, coke, sulfur, ammonia and asphalt, and other products for the manufacturing and marketing network;
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: •Influence results in the PSAT US West Coast refined products business;
•Have a working knowledge of exposure, profit & loss and mark-to-market (MtM) reporting and able to manage, explain and report financial earnings;•Work closely with trading, operations, finance, contracts, risk control and other support functions to manage deal entry and analyze exposure, profit & loss and MtM reporting as well as provide support for the monthly performance review;
•Establish strong relationships with other business units and/or departments to identify and facilitate analytical process improvements and new business initiatives;•Deliver ad-hoc analytical support to the traders, Business Analyst Team Lead and Commercial Business Manager;
•Provide work coverage for other Business Analysts as needed.

About you

Required qualifications: • Bachelor's degree;
• 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst;• 3+ years of relevant experience as an analyst in a Finance role;
• Financial Acumen - Understands financial concepts and their application in a business environment. Demonstrates competency with financial systems (e.g. SAP) and can effectively provide a bridge between the operating and finance organizations; • Analytical, Data Gathering and Problem Solving - Proven ability in leveraging technology (e.g. MS Excel, PowerPoint etc.) to provide solutions and expand process efficiencies;
• Multi-Tasking, Ability to Prioritize and Results Driven - Prioritizes work flow and manages multiple stakeholders and/or issues. Manages time efficiently and completes tasks in a detailed manner. Independently works across functional business groups to resolve discrepancies or identify opportunities, facilitate solutions and get results based on the findings and conclusions drawn from analytical work;• Communication – Ability to manage relationships with a diverse group of customers in a dynamic environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrates effectiveness at facilitating and leading meetings, presenting rationale in a clear and organized manner while ensuring understanding of complex issues and communicating with all levels of management while directing discussions toward a conclusion.
Preferred qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting disciplines;•Experience in trading, accounting and/or operations/logistics.
