About this role

As Area Sales Manager you will oversee the development of business plans and strategies for a specific products, markets or areas. You'll prepare sales forecasts to support company financial objectives and identify target markets for products and services. You'll monitor sales and profit for each account, analyzing and interpreting sales records and customer accounts.

Other duties include:

  • Visiting existing and potential clients to offer products/services and to elaborate on product features;
  • Contacting current and potential customers via cold calls, emails, and arranged meetings to secure sales deals and contracts;
  • Conducting research to identify new sales opportunities, new product opportunities and trending consumer needs, and maintain awareness of all competitive activities;
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, as appropriate;

You'll need to be willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time within North America. Unfortunately visa sponsorship is not available at this time.

About you

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science and/or a business-related discipline;
  • Credentials from a commercial sales training program is a plus;
  • 5+ years of sales experience.

Experience from the following industries is a plus: Biogas/Anaerobic Digestion, Waste/Wastewater Treatment, Oil & Gas or Agriculture, and a strong technical background is desirable.

You'll bring your first class consultative sales skills, ready to take us through your proven record in sales (meeting or exceeding sales quotas).
