Our client is seeking a leader in the field of project delivery quality processes to fill the role of Quality Manager – Integrated Project Deliver for a significant project assignment. The project is employing the latest 3D data-centric design Hexagon (Smartplant) based tools to drive unprecedented efficiency in the delivery of engineering and procurement. The principle in driving this value is the interoperation of data and information with minimal reliance on traditional paper based deliverables. As a result, many new engineering and procurement process workflows have been developed. The next challenge is the design of a quality management system to match the new data centric processes.

About this role

  • Working with the Functional Leads of the project (Engineering, Procurement and Project Controls) and the Process Improvement Team, responsible for the development and implementation of an overall quality management program, which assures quality outcomes in a data centric project delivery environment.
  • Development of new methodologies to measure and maintain quality processes related to digital delivery.
  • Development and measurement of performance metrics related to digital project delivery.

Performing tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Develops quality process workflows to match data centric project delivery processes
  • Creates, publishes, controls and constantly improves Quality Matrix
  • Obtains data/information from independent observation, consultation with functional leads and Process Improvement Specialists, and a study of engineering notes, specifications and documents.
  • Develops quality process workflows to match data centric project delivery processes
  • Initiates and participates in review process to ensure data integrity and revises existing documentation to reflect process changes
  • Participates in internal and external audits and guides auditors through documentation, answering and/or redirecting questions. Acts as the lead auditor for Internal Quality System Audits.
  • Plans, directs, performs, and reports the results of process, product, systems, supplier, and ISO quality audits
  • Performs independent, comprehensive reviews of the existence, correctness and effectiveness of standards and controls used to perform specific functions.
  • Develops, documents, and monitors key processes such as the Corrective Action Process, Audit Process, etc. Provides consultation and training in the areas of Quality methods.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, science, engineering, or equivalent combination of education, training or work experience.
  • Experience in quality management processes, ISO standards, and auditioning processes related to major project delivery or program management.
  • Specific experience in data quality management processes
  • Demonstrated strong troubleshooting, analytical, technical problem solving skills
  • High attention to details, motivation and commitment to quality outcomes
  • Ability to operate effectively and work under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with different levels of stakeholders from different parts of the world.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and quickly comprehend new concepts and technologies
  • Understanding of all aspects of engineering software development and implementation
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment
  • Willing to work outside of normal business hours as part of a global team and to travel as required
  • Expert working knowledge of MS Office tools, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
