About this role

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements and assures the strategy to manage project documents, technical, commercial and management data (including engineering models) in accordance with functional requirements set by both the owner and EPCM engineering, construction, commissioning, contracts & procurement, project services, and HSE functions
  • Owns project document, data and model management policies and access rights to facilitate efficient, legal, and secure access to electronic content consistent with the digital strategy and requirements
  • Provides input to system execution plans, system architecture and handover established by an integrated internal team and EPCM team
  • Collaborates with other sub-functions to establish the standard and process for the progressive handover of systems, documents, data and models at project completion in accordance with strategy to that maintains the digital asset in Operations
  • Collaborates with other sub-functions to integrate project systems with business enterprise systems (SAP)
  • Assist in the development of digital capabilities and ways of working (cyber-security, processes, organization) and digital transformation accelerators
  • Develop information repository optimization and transition plans for both Owner and EPCM systems
  • Embed practices that continuously improve user experience, training, and support
  • Assist in the governance and assurance of all EPCM agile system development work-streams;
  • Participate in pilots and demonstrations to prove data-centric delivery to construction and handover to operations
  • Manage internal data standards (class library, doc numbering tag numbering, codes, WBS)
  • Assists with managing change and transformation, i.e. develop training, communication plans for new systems and processes to support the implementation of digital technologies
  • Evaluates and assures systems readiness

About you

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in engineering, business or other relevant field
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) certification preferred
  • Masters of Business Administration degree preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience in a project information management environment (mining, power, oil & gas, construction)
  • Strong working knowledge of integrating data-centric design tools, materials management, project services (cost and schedule), construction and information management software (Hexagon Smartplant suite)
  • Excellent knowledge of information management principles, skills and tools
