About this role

As a Maintenance Instrument & Electrical Technician, you will be the expert in maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, or replacing plant electrical and instrument equipment. You will be responsible for new construction and modification in conformance with electrical code requirements.
You’ll be familiar with and follow the National Electrical Code for electrical installations, and you’ll be compliant with all HSEQ Requirements.

Other duties will include:

  • Install, troubleshoot and repair components in motor control circuits, pressure and flow switches and transmitters, and emergency equipment auto-start systems
  • Install, troubleshoot and repair electronic control instruments and analyzers for boiler control and other process monitoring and control systems
  • Maintain HVAC systems when required
  • Bend, thread, and install electrical conduits
  • Install wire in conduit systems and install terminations and switches
  • Maintain electrical motors and systems from 120 volts to 4160 volts
    You’ll be working with engineering to maintain process control computer information systems and hardware. You’ll always document systems operation and modification changes.

About you

Education & Experience Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with electrical/instrumentation installation and maintenance
  • Technical training through instrument/electrical crafts, technical colleges, or relevant plant maintenance experience
  • Must possess an Oregon Limited Journeyman Electrical License
  • Demonstrate journeyman skills in relevant maintenance skill areas
  • Familiar with maintenance management systems for record keeping and documentation
  • Mechanical aptitude, with an understanding of plant equipment and documentation skills
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office. SAP experience preferred
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and team player
