About this role

As the Senior Finance Analyst you will be monitoring the day-to day financial operations of the company. This includes corporate budgeting preparation, reviewing financial data, and tracking the company’s financial status. Part of your role will be making insightful recommendations for potential improvement.

You’ll be working with the Nitrogen Manufacturing Finance business partners. Your goal is to deliver comprehensive analysis of Nitrogen results. Your results need to encompass both manufacturing and commercial drivers. You’re responsible for independent finance support and guidance for the Commercial Nitrogen management team.

Duties:

  • Creating and auditing complex formulas and relationships in spreadsheets and reporting tools
  • Developing robust financial models supporting evaluation of business opportunities, product line optimization and scenario analysis
  • Managing and coordinating the annual budget and monthly forecast process for the product lines including collaboration with supply chain and manufacturing finance functions to provide a holistic view of the various factors contributing to Nitrogen earnings results
  • Preparing contract reconciliation documentation and associated accounting transactions related to Third Party Supply and Marketing agreements and other contractual arrangements
  • Maintaining an effective financial control environment across the Nitrogen business, including appropriate controls over the company’s assets, compliance with delegation of authority, and adherence to accounting standards

About you

You will be responsible for the development, standardization and continual improvement of Nitrogen financial management reporting. Everything that you accomplish will be utilizing accepted company platforms (i.e. SAP, Host, Qlik). This will maximize data integrity and improve company transparency into Nitrogen results.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of financial analysis experience
  • Experience with SAP, Host budget/forecasting tool, Microsoft Suite with advanced proficiency in Excel and Analyzer functionality

In this role you will be providing strong analytical and finance business partner support. You will be supporting the commercial Nitrogen team with your own insights. These insights can range from different financial impacts of commercial proposals to interrelations with manufacturing and logistics.

  • Ability to analyze, validate and summarize large amounts of complex data to effectively identify and communicate key drivers and trends with key stakeholders
  • Creating an environment of accountability and transparency to drive delivery of Nitrogen performance objectives
  • Working across different departments to provide financial insights
  • Can work independently and with a team
  • Ability to understand and integrate supply and logistics relationships
