Brunel has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering and Reliability Manager for our client who are a global leader in mining solutions and quality products throughout the world in the Mining Industry. This is a permanent position located in St. Helens, Oregon. You will be the expert in managing the Plant Risk & Reliability Team and provide leadership for the risk and reliability program, planned/preventative maintenance program, and root cause failure analysis/plant troubleshooting for the Plant. About this role

  • Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral-based safety (Ensure SAO, JSA, Take 5’s, stretching, and all safety rules are being completed.)

About you

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering;
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in maintenance and/or engineering of a petrochemical manufacturing plant, power generation or similar heavy industry environment. Leadership experience - Minimum 3 yrs. experience in either leading a reliability team or managing a manufacturing facility;
  • Technical: Technically competent with respect to the management of one or more of the following Pressure equipment, Rotating equipment, and Instrument/Electrical systems;
  • Knowledge of static plant equipment and good knowledge of materials, failure mechanisms, fabrication and repair processes and procedures;
  • Familiarity with Safety Management Systems;
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems;
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Excellence models, systems and processes relating to asset capability and reliability;
  • Familiarity with Turnaround management systems;
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP PM or equivalent;
  • Experienced in risk identification, analysis, and mitigation strategies;
  • Proven project delivery;
  • Demonstrated ability in optimizing reliability e.g. reducing failure rates, increasing uptime, etc.;
  • Strong understanding of RBM (Risk-based Maintenance) and RCM (reliability-centered maintenance) maintenance strategy development;
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis of failure data (e.g. uptime, Weibull analysis, etc.);
  • Competent in the various methods of Root Cause Failure Analysis;
  • Competent in incident investigations.
