An outstanding opportunity exists for an enthusiastic
seasoned professional to become part of our team working at our client's site
office. Reporting to Manager Project Contracts & Procurement this
role directly supports the project contract activities associated with the
successful commercial close out and archiving of the current contract as well
as audit review and commercial support of an upcoming contract. Tasks include
but are not limited to reporting, monitoring, analysing, administration,
governance and support for effective contract management by nominated contract
owners and the interface with the Supply function for the execution of
contracting processes. This role is currently proposed for a period of 6
months with the ability to extend to 12 months based on the performance of the
selected candidate.

About this role

  • Execute and support the
    timely close out of agreements including the development of executive level
    summary lessons learned, archiving;
  • Executes and support
    contracts management and administration process including but not limited to
    progress monitoring, changes, claims, formal communications performance
    management. This includes interfaces with Supply Category Management and
    Purchasing sub functions;
  • Communicates the process
    for contracts management and administration with stakeholders;
  • Archives and stores
    commercial documents, ie formal correspondence with a contractor at all stages
    of the contract lifecycle;
  • Supports risk and quality
    management plans to assure effective management of the program’s Contracts
    scope of work;
  • Identifies and implements
    improvement initiatives, including programmatic opportunities for increased
    capital efficiency and productivity in the function;
  • Provides data to Project
    Services for project reporting & control;
  • Initiates, prepares,
    reviews, tracks and distributes RFIs;
  • Validates contract owner’s
    adherence to Contracting procedures while monitoring progress and cost
    according to contractual terms;
  • Identifies schedule
    requirements for the contracting work, for inclusion in the project schedule;
  • Inspection of subcontractor
    operations to ensure compliance with Contract and determine non-compliance
    where applicable;
  • Provides input for
    construction schedule, subcontractor progress and materials delivery;
  • Prepares and submits Daily
    Reports including work in-place quantities;
  • Assist in preparation of
    monthly owner project status reports, as required.

About you

  • Bachelor
    Degree in Engineering or Commerce, Law or related disciplines;
  • 10+
    years’ experience in Project Contracts Administration in a large project
    environment (mining, power, oil & gas, construction);
  • Demonstrated
    experience in the full life cycle large and complex construction projects and
    related service contracts. With key strengths demonstrated in areas of
    claims, contract close out and contract auditing abilities;
  • Advanced
    verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience in
    Executive Level interactions;
  • Expert
    experience in use of cloud based Contract Management System(s); must have the
    ability to compute and comprehend multiple data sets and interfaces;
  • Advanced
    technology and Microsoft suite skills;
  • Strong
    ability to collaborate and work with large teams.
