About this role

The bulk of this role lies in providing end-to-end expert guidance on how to manage the data center, remote site, and Cloud Infrastructure services across IT infrastructure influencing priorities and decisions across the organization. It's an exciting role if you are ready to take on a lead position from your current role in IT.

As well as being a cloud infrastructure technical expert, you'll also need to build your team culture. You'll be communicating the workflows, and agenda for the data center, remote site, and Cloud infrastructure services to the senior management team, ensuring alignment and managing support.

Duties

  • Managing data center co-location and Cloud Service Providers including budget and SLA management
  • Understanding the Company IT vision and translating this to the data center, remote site, and Cloud infrastructure services
  • Using DevOps methodologies to design and configure server, data center, remote site, and Cloud infrastructure to provide a high degree of performance, service availability, and flexibility for the business
  • Designing and configuring data center and Cloud infrastructure solutions around virtualization and automation of servers, applications, user profiles, networking, and storage
  • Initiating, leading, and executing IT requirements related to the data center, remote site, and Cloud infrastructure services
  • Ensuring data center, remote site, and Cloud infrastructure standards align to site patterns that are communicated and adopted globally
  • Technical analysis and performance tuning of hardware, software, networks, databases, and virtual systems
  • Use ITIL Service Request, Incident, Risk, Problem, and Change Management principles to optimize and reduce risks within IT infrastructure, servers, and desktops

About you

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • ITIL or vendor-related certifications a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience supporting the server, network, storage, and Cloud environments
  • Minimum of 5 years system administration experience consisting of defining, implementing, automating and managing enterprise services and storage strategy to support company data centers and Cloud services
  • Minimum 5 years of IT architectural design, implementation, and automation of technologies for data centers and Cloud providers at a large multinational

Please make sure your resume reflects all your software skills, as well as specifics with software packages.

Here's some specifics that would make you the ideal candidate:

  • Experience performing complex technical analysis and performance tuning of hardware, software, networks, databases, and virtual systems within data centers, remote sites, and Cloud providers.
  • Experience in designing and supporting infrastructure and Cloud automation technologies that enhance “continuous delivery”. (i.e. DevOps methodologies)
  • Experience with infrastructure solutions including but not limited to AWS, Azure, Identity Management, Windows Server, Linux, SQL Server, storage, VMWare.
  • Proven experience and success with the secure design for Cloud and SaaS solutions.
  • Understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
