About this role

Experience: More than 5 years professional experience.

Education: Bachelor's Degree Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Activities and Competencies:

  • Performs engineering duties; develops, designs, and tests mechanical devices;
  • Writes technical reports, handbooks, and bulletins for use by staff or customers;
  • Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Proficiency in 2-D drawing and 3-D modeling in SolidWorks (preferred), PTC Creo/Windchil or similar tool;
  • Strong mechanical design and analysis skills, strong knowledge of tools such as MATLAB, FEA, SolidWorks packages;
  • Ability to documentation, including: component details, assembly details, incoming and finished inspection requirements, through the use of CAD as a design tool;
  • Is a self-starter, action oriented, organized and disciplined;
  • Expectation to establish and meet aggressive product development schedules, accepting and managing appropriate risks and recognizing and reporting issues at the earliest possible time;
  • Capable of working in a regulated environment.
