About this role

This is Regional Sales Manager position for a company headquartered in Canada. This role is based in the USA (please do not unless you are already based in the US).

You’ll need at least 5 years of experience in sales and account management, directly related to industrial process water and wastewater treatment, or process systems and technology. Your goal? To develop and grow new business and expand existing accounts in the USA. You’ll be responsible to setting up and executing on ambitious growth plans in US industrial water and wastewater market sectors.
You’ll be developing sales opportunities with the support of the applications engineering and project management teams. You’ll be working remotely in the US, in teams with colleagues at global locations, so you’ll need to build relationships using all the communications tools and skills you have – verbal, written, skype, conferencing etc.

As you grow the business, you’ll be identifying and managing the representative network for territories or specific industrial market sectors. There’s a leadership aspect in here – you’ll be hiring, training and mentoring your team, giving them the same keen drive you have to deliver and convert clients from lead to sale.

You’ll be proposing and managing budgets – both your own growth targets and bookings, as well as marketing budgets. Your success will be from strategies that develop key target accounts and drive new business. Your entrepreneurial spirit will thrive in this technical and customer-oriented role, where you get to decide how best to grow the US-side of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering capital equipment sales, identifying potential projects already approved and in pre-qualification, looking to qualify sales opportunities and developing closing strategies
  • Developing and nurturing client and end user relationships
  • Supporting sales efforts for rental equipment and services
  • Building and maintaining customer loyalty by providing prompt friendly service

There is extensive travel involved. You will be participating in client site visits as well as occasional trips to Headquarters.

About you

You’ll need solid (10+ years) experience in the industrial water and wastewater treatment industry, with either an engineering or technical support background.

Required:

  • B.S. degree in Engineering (chemical, industrial or civil water resources), Biology, Chemistry Or a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
    OR Engineering Technology diploma (chemical, industrial or civil water resources)
  • 10+ years of experience in industrial water and wastewater treatment industry in an engineering or technical support role
  • At least 5 years of experience in direct in sales and account management, directly related to industrial process water and wastewater treatment, or process systems and technology
