About this role

As Operations Engineer you will be responsible for minimizing unplanned downtime, optimizing performance, and ensuring the safe operation of the compressed natural gas (CNG) and renewable natural gas (RNG) assets. You will collaborate extensively with the operations and engineering staff to commission new projects. You’ll help troubleshoot issues impacting throughput or yield. You will also implement process and technology improvements at all facilities.

In this role you will communicate with personnel in various parts of the organization and related vendors. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop, monitor, and manage, project data and metrics. You will manage company vendors for all requirements related to your projects and assigned roles.

Duties:

  • Develop the strategies geared towards improving operations at CNG and Biogas plants
  • Track, monitor and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for existing biogas operations
  • Work on assigned tasks related to the design, development and operation of plants designed to process raw biogas into pipeline quality natural gas
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures and other training material for operational staff

About you

Required:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, preferably Chemical, Industrial or Mechanical fields;
  • 4+ years of experience in a related field;
  • 1-3 years in process design roles;
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% (or more) of the time.

Highly Desirable:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering;
  • Experience with SCADA systems such as Wonder ware, Factory Talk, Ignition;
  • 3-5 years in process design roles;
  • Experience with pumps, compressors and basic unit operations.

Your Skills:

  • A focus on delivering results and problem-solving;
  • Familiar with common gas processing equipment.
