About this role

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day data operations to support the legacy process data systems and applications.
  • Current technical stack includes SAS JMP, SQL Server, Python, Matlab, Tableau
  • Complete code updates on time and with accuracy.
  • Simplify current code with focus on ease of ongoing maintenance
  • Perform unit testing and code reviews prior to implementation
  • Implement version control system for ongoing code maintenance in the team
  • Assist in data preparation activities to support complex investigations, on an ad-hoc basis as requested
  • Strong data quality mindset. Identify and log any data integrity risks and communicate to the relevant party (data source SME, department responsible for data entry, product and process specialist, shop floor operators)
  • Actively participate in putting mitigation strategies in place to address data integrity risks
  • Collaborate with Toronto site data integrity and data validation leads as needed
  • Familiarize with Global Process Data Warehouse (PDW) being rolled out in Toronto, and support the project lead in migration and testing activities from legacy data systems to PDW

    About you

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Intermediate level full stack development experience (Front/Back end)
    • 3-6 years in a related IT field, industry does not matter but pharma may be preferred.
    • MS SQL Server experience is required, with expertise in advanced SQL queries and relational databases
    • Ability to maintain existing programs written in Python, Matlab, R (low to intermediate level). Knowledgeable with packaging and deploying applications (Python, Matlab, Windows)
    • Server (Web/Application) configuration experience is an asset
    • Expertise and comfort with JMP Scripting Language (JSL
    • ETL knowledge experience is a must
    • Analytical data science experience (developing/deploying models)
    • Process control/optimization knowledge
    • Familiarity with data engineering in AWS stack
    • Manufacturing industry experience is an asset
    • Experience with MS Master Data Management (MDM) configuration is an asset
