About this role

You will be reporting to the Director of Strategic Sourcing, you will be the expert in effectively negotiating and managing supply and service contracts for the IS Manufacturing business for ongoing raw material, MRO and site services expense in addition to Capex You will be part of a dynamic team who manages the effective transactions processes for all categories of spending in line with Global Procurement Policy. Other duties will include:

  • You will work to ensure the delivery of effective raw material, MRO and site services procurement for designated sites;
  • You will need to review raw material, MRO and site service spend at a regional level for nominated categories and determine appropriate contracting models, deriving volume synergies where possible, whilst balancing and maintaining local service levels;
  • You will daily manage the negotiation process for key supply agreements within the region/plant together with local buyers ensure timely delivery of all materials and services in support of manufacturing and/or operations;
  • You will develop project plans, deliverables, metrics, and milestones;
  • You will be responsible to act as a functional representative within plant providing a link between manufacturing, operations and the Procurement Group;
  • Work with internal customers to fully understand their procurement needs and ensure that these are delivered through the larger Procurement network;
  • Act as a change agent on behalf of Procurement to implement solutions and processes as developed by the centralized procurement capability group;
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and operational managers to establish short-term and long-term business objectives;
  • Develop strong, customer-focused relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Manage process to ensure timely delivery of all products and services to meet operational requirements;
  • Manage compliance and governance processes in Procurement in line with internal and external audit requirements;
  • Line management of local buyer (s).

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, preferably in Supply Chain/Procurement with five years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • 5-6 years’ experience in contract negotiation and management in a manufacturing organization;
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of Category Management;
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of Capital and Service contracting;
  • Demonstrated experience in Supplier Management and Development;
  • Strategic negotiation skills, with a focus on supplier engagement;
  • Ability to support the creation of contractual scope of works and set KPI’s for supplier performance management;
  • Strong customer focus;
  • Effective communication and influencing skills with both external service providers and key internal stakeholders;
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and SAP;
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and team player.
