Our client, a leader in the oil & gas industry has the need of a Business Manager for their manufacturing arm. This business designs, engineers and manufactures oilfield, gas and geothermal equipment as well as drilling tools.
As the Business Manager, you will be responsible for providing the overall strategic leadership and direction for your business unit, as well as the financial, technical and personnel components of operations. You will be responsible for the health and safety of all your direct reports and you will also hold responsibility for the P&L encompassing cost analysis and budget management.
Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to ensure profitability of your business divisions
  • Build and execute a business strategy
  • Manage the profit and loss responsibility across your divisions
  • Maintain and improve safety performance
  • Provide complete and total service solutions across the business to new and existing customers

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Previous experience in business management and display strong business acumen
  • Strong manufacturing industry knowledge/experience
  • Sound change-management and project management experience
  • Proven leadership, management and relationship building skills
  • Hands on operational experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of cost analysis techniques
