Kamenz Battery Plant Project Overview
After our client's battery plant went into operation in Kamenz in 2018, production capacities and volumes are being successively increased. The annual production volume will soon exceed half a million battery systems for hybrid, plug-in hybrid and purely electric vehicles, a crucial element in meeting the global demand for electrified vehicles flexibly and efficiently.
Work Scope
R&D and manufacturing of Lithium Ion (Li-ion) Batteries. Starter batteries, electrical system batteries, batteries for the hybrid cars and also batteries for electric cars.
Brunel project team
Brunel was awarded a contract to provide R&D engineering and manufacturing services mobilizing teams up to 20-25 throughout the peak years and all phases:
- R&D Engineering & Design (E&D)
- Chemical / Process Engineers
- (Laser) Application Engineers
- Quality Engineers
- Electrical test field
- Diagnosis of faulty parts from the batteries
- Diagnosis of the chemical parts from the faulty batteries
- Laboratory Technicians
- Maintenance Technicians
- Logistics & Spare Parts Management
