About this role: System Engineer
Our client one of the leading Construction Company is currently looking for 'System Engineer' for Kuwait Location. Candidate should be located in Kuwait with Transferable Residency
- Manages and monitors all installed systems and infrastructure for the organization to be in line with company guidelines or SOP (standard operating procedure);
- Defines customers’ needs and functionality in a service development cycle;
- Assists in the coordination of various teams testing and evaluating for the development of design and its implementation of the best output;
- Installs, configures, and tests operating systems, application software, and system management tools;
- Ensures the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability;
- Implements warranty and support activities;
- Evaluates the existing systems and provides the technical direction to IT support staff;
- Plans and implements system automation as required for better efficiency;
- Oversees the development of customized software and hardware requirement;
- Collaborates with other professionals to ensure high quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures;
- Deals with work process, optimization methods, and risk management tools in the given projects for the successful accomplishments according to the requirements of the stakeholders;
- Monitoring and troubleshooting HP and Cisco UCS servers, storage, and networking equipment for malfunctions or failures;
- Monitoring and troubleshooting HPE 3PAR storage for malfunctions or failures;
- Installing and configuring new Cisco UCS servers, storage devices, routers, switches, and other network components;
- Monitoring and troubleshooting Linux servers ( Redhat , Centos , …; );
- Proficiency of enterprise system tools such as PowerShell, Microsoft System Center, ESXi vCenter, SolarWinds Server & Network Monitoring;
- Assists with installation and maintaining infrastructure services ( CA, DNS, dynamic host configuration protocol, backup, print, patches);
- Conducting capacity assessments of existing infrastructure to ensure that it can support future growth;
- Maintaining detailed documentation of all server and storage configurations and changes made to them;
- Performing regular backups of data to prevent loss in case of computer failure or theft;
- Providing technical support for applications and operating systems used in the IT environment;
- Writing scripts ( like Python or other ) to automate common processes within the IT environment;
- Monitoring energy usage across the data center to ensure efficient operation;
- Conducting environmental and air quality tests to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
What you need to bring:
- Computer science or allied field viz. degree;
- Minimum 7+ years Information Technology or Engineering or information Systems, or related work experience;
- Minimum 3+ years of Experience with UCS Enterprise large environments (experience administering Cisco UCS, including experience installing / provisioning all UCS domain components);
- Minimum 5 + years of experience in HPE 3PAR storage systems, Blade Servers, Tape Library, administration experience in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Hyper-V, VMware vCenter, Disaster Recovery Site Management etc;
- Data architecture and programming proficiency;
- Good cloud experience;
- Network experience;
- Certification may be helpful.
