Our client is a mining industry leader. They are now seeking a Exploration Superintendent to join their team. The company is offering an attractive salary package and industry leading bonus schemes/incentives.

About this role

• Onsite statutory supervisor, provision of field safety leadership, ensure adequate risk management is in place• Focus on mitigating Principal Hazard exposure and ensure compliance to verification processes
• Collaborate with safety personnel to ensure compliance to Mine Safety Management System • Lead consultative and collaborative approach to H&S
• Provide training to meet role compliance and technical development• All aspects of onsite project delivery: camp management, exploration drilling and field work campaigns
• Provide input into the ongoing development of exploration programs, budgets and the resources of these works• Ensuring activities are carried out with minimal disturbance to the environment and heritage sites
• Monitoring of program performance and periodical reporting to senior management• Program effectiveness review and technical guidance to the geology and field teams
• Maintain accommodation and catering standards and meet all safety expectations

What you need to bring:

  • Tertiary qualification or suitable relevant industry experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience in mineral exploration with a good understanding of ore and/or lithium exploration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Sound experience working on remote sites
  • Solid understanding of modern HSE standards and Emergency preparedness as applicable to this location.
