Introduction

Brunel has partnered with a National Tier 3 Refurbishment, Fit Out and Construction company. The Brisbane team is growing with a solid core of clients and strong stream of projects in and around the CBD.

The Site Manager with assist in supporting this increase in projects on a full-time permanent basis.

Projects are mainly Fit Out with short programmes and quick turnaround times. Our client however do not compromise on quality and are renowned in their industry for the works they produce.

About this role

  • Lead site teams and oversee project to ensure it's delivered to quality, budget, and schedule requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to coordinate site activities and address any project-related issues.
  • Monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers, including procurement.
  • Regular site inspections to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Provide leadership and support to site staff, fostering a productive site environment.
  • Maintain documentation and records related to projects.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to optimise project outcomes.
  • Respond to any emergencies or unexpected events that may come up on-site.

What you need to bring:

  • QBCC Builders or Supervisors license (required).
  • Experience in the Commercial Construction Industry (Australia).
  • Proficiency in MS suite and Procore (desired).
  • Extensive knowledge of industry-based contracts and subcontract management.
  • Proven ability to identify customer needs and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Strong organizational and negotiation skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to project delivery under pressure and tight deadlines.

Benefits:

  • Solid experience in the Construction Industry, preferably in commercial fit-out, refurbishment, or construction.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and Word is essential; experience with project management software is desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge of industry-based contracts and subcontract management.
  • Proven ability to identify customer needs and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Strong organizational and negotiation skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Supervisors license or builders license is a must.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to project delivery under pressure and tight deadlines.
