About this role: Senior Quality Advisor (Civil Package)

Our reputable and globally recognized firm is gearing up to kickstart the construction of a large scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Melbourne for 2023. This is a golden opportunity to shape the benchmark for quality assurance in the rapidly evolving energy storage sector.
Leadership: Spearhead the QAQC unit, instilling a culture of quality, and laying down clear quality management blueprints.
Supplier & Sub-contractor Management: Appraise suppliers/sub-contractors on quality metrics and maintain open channels for quality feedback.
RFT / Tender Stage: Drive the tender process with a quality-centric lens, aligning stakeholder expectations on quality.
Project Delivery Phase: Construct the QAQC roadmap for the BESS project, holding regular quality inspections, and partnering with project stakeholders to meet quality benchmarks.
Client Relations: Fortify client trust with transparent communication on quality checkpoints and address client quality specifications promptly.
Team Building & Delivery: Assemble and mentor a high-caliber QAQC squad, ensuring optimal resource allocation and stellar performance.Strategy & Innovation: Scout for innovative quality enhancement solutions, and proactively counteract quality risks.
What you need to bring:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a parallel discipline.
- Accreditation in quality management (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor).
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP).
Experience:
- A solid decade in quality control/assurance roles within construction.
- A proven track record in steering quality dynamics of large-scale renewable construction endeavors.
- Mastery over pertinent industry codes, standards, and regulations.
- Prior experience with energy storage projects, particularly BESS.
Skills:
- Profound knowledge of quality management principles.
- Aptitude for leveraging quality control tools and techniques.
- Comprehensive insight into various construction processes.
- A keen analytical mind complemented by exceptional stakeholder communication abilities.
