Overhead Accountant

Our client, a High-Profile Global Organization within the Energy Sector, has an exciting contract opportunity for a highly skilled Overhead Accountant to work within one of their Project Teams

Start date: ASAP

Contract Length: 12 months

Contract type: Onshore

Work location: Aberdeen

Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:

• Review of G&A, allocable and onshore pools monthly actuals prepared by GL team;
• Quarterly interface with Department Managers to review actuals vs. budget;
• Preparation of G&A, Allocable and Onshore Pools forecast, explaining any variances from prior forecast & budget;
• Preparation of Overhead Allocation to vessels for budget and forecast, explaining any variances from prior forecast & budget;
• Preparation of G&A, Allocable and Onshore Pools budget;
• Ensure relevant support is provided to budget holders;
• Ensure all main processes are documented and procedures and coding guides provided to and fully understood by budget holders. Updates / amendments as appropriate to keep aligned with the business;
• Ensure budget holders are provided in a timely manner with sufficient levels of visibility of financial data required to effectively manage their budgets · Ensure compliance of cost management processes and procedures .

What we are Looking for:

• Experience of customer facing operations accounting;
• Experience in dealing with multiple currencies and financial instruments · Advanced Microsoft excel · Good understanding of management accounts.

Nice to have:

• Oracle applications or ERP experience.
