About this role: Operations Supervisor

Seeking an OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR to start in March 2023.

The Operations Supervisor will be a senior representative and Department Head of team on the FPSO during operation reporting directly to the Client OIM and indirectly to the Operations Manager.

As part of the project phase, the role shall be responsible for supervising all aspects of departmental operational readiness including supporting recruitment and development of the offshore team, reporting to the Operations Readiness Manager.KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
-Interface with Client OIM with respect to production, storage, export, and offloading operations on the facilityDirectly supervise the Operations Department to ensure the safe and efficient utility, production, storage, export, and offloading operations.

Responsible for the operation, condition monitoring and troubleshooting of process plant, all utility and cargo systems:Instrumented safety control systemsSubsea well control systemsTurret, swivel and associated systems
Process plant, Central Control Room and subsea start up and shut down operationsUtility systems start up and shut down operationsLoading and offloading of cargoOptimization of chemical consumption
Laboratory operations and equipmentMaintaining discharges and emissions within environmental permitsCoordination with Materials coordinator for managing chemical and oils inventory stocks and replenishment, Materials managementResponsible for the planning of Operations Department first line maintenance activities in cooperation with the maintenance supervisor
Responsible for the preparation of equipment and systems for safe handover to maintenance and safe reinstatement and testing thereafterAssist with Competency assessment and development of personnel offshorePerform performance evaluation of subordinates including giving regular feedback and implementing appropriate coaching and mentoring as required

What you need to bring:

QUALIFICATIONS:-Degree in Process Engineering or similar is desirable-Relevant experience may replace formal education
-7 - 10 years’ experience in an operational role in hydrocarbon and/or chemical processing plant with minimum 5 years’ experience in a Supervisory role-Ideally five years’ operational experience on offshore production facilities and/or FPSOs

A thorough understanding of relevant legislation that regulates offshore oil and gas operations in Australia is desirable

Computer Literacy is essentialThe position may require additional travel and/or temporary assignments at project premises or corporate offices
