Our client, a leading sub vendor in the Oil & Gas industry, is seeking a seasoned Human Resource Coordinator with over 10 years of experience working within rig environments. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of rig operations and a proven track record of effectively interacting with contractors. This role will involve coordinating various HR activities and initiatives within the challenging rig setting, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations while fostering a positive work environment.

About this role

  • Collaborate with rig management to ensure all HR strategies are aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Manage the recruitment process for rig personnel, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
  • Facilitate training and development programs for rig employees and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry regulations
  • Act as a liaison between rig personnel and HR management, roster reporting, rotational travel, addressing employee concerns, grievances, and performance issues
  • Oversee personnel administration tasks, including payroll queries, benefits administration, and personnel record management
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations within the rig environment
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among rig personnel through effective communication and engagement initiatives
  • Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of HR-related activities, maintaining confidentiality and integrity at all times

What you need to bring:

  • Bachelor’s diploma or degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
  • Certification in HR management or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on the Oil & Gas industry and rig operations
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations, particularly within the context of remote environments
  • Proven experience in HR functions such as recruitment, training, performance management, and employee relations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, with a hands-on and proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with the ability to generate reports effectively
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple objectives simultaneously
  • Flexibility to travel to rig locations and work non-traditional hours as needed
