Ashghal Operations & Maintenance Department (Phase 1): Project Overview
Staff secondment contract where Brunel grew head from 0 – 60 contract personnel at peak, including provision of Arabic speaking staff for Ashghal’s Operations & Maintenance department. The initial project was a 3-year, fixed-term contract proving recruitment services to a value of 48.8m QAR (11.5m EUR). A broad knowledge base was developed, as Brunel consultants gained valuable experience placing engineers in the brand new, state-of-the-art control room centre, along with 22 tunnels, road surfacing, drainage and bridge strengthening projects.

Excellent relationships were established across multiple departments and also a large volume of referral candidates have been received due to these relationships. The agreement is still in place today.
Since being awarded the staff secondment contract in May of 2016, the contractor headcount has increased significantly. You and your Brunel colleagues have always managed to deliver the right resources at the right time and in the right fashion. You have been proactive and have met some very tight mobilization deadlines.

Ashghal Infrastructure Affairs Department (Phase 2): Project Overview
In July 2019, Brunel was awarded an exclusive 3-year staff secondment contract with Ashghal’s Infrastructure Affairs – Roads design department (PWA/ITC/033/2018). From a standing start Brunel has successfully transferred 54 personnel for the Roads design department with another 19 x Brunel sourced personnel being mobilized directly to Ashghal under Brunel sponsorship throughout Oct/Nov/Dec.
As of March 2020, our head count at the Ashghal West Bay HQ has grown to over 100 and Brunel is provided with an addendum to the above contract, increasing the overall value of our (PWA/ITC/033/2018) agreement to a value of 100m+ (QAR).
