Our Client, an international telecommunication company is currently recruiting for Senior Technical Consultant (POS, CRM & API) to be based in Kuwait.

Role Purpose:

  • This role for a senior Technical consultant position in IT domain will primarily focus on governing and supporting Company‘s roadmap in the transformations for the POS, CRM and API’s.
  • This role will provide technical expertise that will help in levelling up and performing the best practices in transforming the existing systems into a top notch POS & CRM, in the addition to catering to standardizing the current APIs used by multiple systems into TM Forum based Open APIs.
  • The role will also ensure the execution of projects related to the determined roadmap with third party vendors by ensuring the appropriate architecture analysis, ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ design, and support across the different projects milestones, reaching to a mature, scalable, business oriented, innovative, and high-performing final solution that is agreed by all related departments in the organization. With the right and adequate documentation and check point reviews as per the Organization’s projects life-cycle managements policies and procedures.
  • The systems under this role focus will be POS, CRM, Enterprise Service Bus and SOA, and API Gateway.

Key Activities (POS, CRM, and API):

  • Responsible for the planning and the design of POS, CRM, and API domain which includes but not limited to Point of Sales (POS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Service Bus and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), and API Gateway.
  • Understand the existing Technical and Business flows related to the systems in the domain.
  • Work closely with business and technical stake-holders and ensure the subject matter expert to understand the current pain-points, get the new requirements and roadmaps, and translate them to Technical requirements and solutions.
  • Conduct assessment for the current situation in the POS & CRM, and provide feasible recommendations for enhancements based on best practices.
  • Design the agreed enhancements flows and govern the execution of it with 3 party vendor as per Company Projects lifecycle procedures.
  • Define and Design the overall architecture for the applications in the domain in accordance with the Enterprise Architecture team reference.
  • Understand the existing APIs and architecture flows to support in the different running projects.
  • Plan, design and deploy API management solutions as an enhancement to Company ‘s current SOA/OSB and API Gateway layer.
  • Manage and govern the overall plan for standardizing and transforming the existing APIs towards TM forum based Open APIs.
  • Continuously enhance Company’s API Management domain and ensure clean-ups are performed and optimized flows are implemented.
  • Enforce SOA principles (loose coupling, modularity, reusability, a-synchronicity, high availability, scalability).
  • Design & Build Web Services, BPEL flows, and JMS Queuing.
  • Build, maintain and update SOA registry catalogue.
  • Actively support the implementations of the to-be provisioning & fulfilment architecture flows from both the POS/CRM side and the middleware side.
  • Work effectively and immediately on re-architecting existing Company‘s middleware structure (domains, infra layout, etc.) and align it with in queue application integration requirements
  • Manage day to day issuing of work orders to operations team for any system change
  • Conduct feasibility studies when required.
  • Support new projects RFP releases, technical evaluations and reviews
  • Lead & Conduct systems integration testing, and support UAT.


  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science/ Telecoms / Communications / Electronics Engineering or related discipline and appropriate registration with a recognised professional institute
  • 10+ Required years of experience based on progression ladder, relevant experience.
  • Expertise in CRM and Telco retail systems, with proven deployments.
  • Experienced in Services activation and provisioning flows.
  • Experienced in Sales concepts and Sales Journeys.
  • Awareness of new trends and best practices in Telecom retail and CRM systems.
  • Proven ability to design, optimize and integrate business processes across different systems and mobile technologies.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Oracle OSB and Service Oriented architecture.
  • Advanced knowledge in TM Forum Open APIs and Open Digital Architecture
  • Experience with many of these languages, services and tools: Java, JSON, XML, WSDL, SOAP, REST APIs, UDDI, JDeveloper, SOA Suite on Linux, BPEL, Integration Adapters, Oracle Fusion Middleware, JNDI, JDBC, PL/SQL, SQL.
  • Must have a strong experience with XQuery transformations functions and their use within OSB services development
